Opening files from original application

I am trying to open a powerpoint file from a .exe file (projector). I read the intermediate tutorial but still need the application (defaultapp.exe) to launch the powerpoint file from the projector. Can someone please help me with that. Also, what type of argument should I use with the exec FSCommand.
