I was just wondering about how flash stores images. I have about 5 megs of art (png's) and after importing it into flash and creating the nessessary animation my file size for the swf is about 10 megs. I was just curious as to why this is happening? Is it because flash doesn't compress it like a png does? Also, is there anything I can do to counter/prevent this?
Thanks alot
5 megs of graphics, you arent going to get a small size out of that. make sure the png's arent set to lossless, cause then it will keep its native file size.

thanks alot Cota,
I knew that I wasn't going to get anything too small but i was supprised by 10 megs. Is there a way to correct this without me having to reimport in the art? I know how to change it from lossless when I have the png imported, but I have already used the "trace bitmap" algoritm on them. Any suggestions?
None off the top of my head.
