Hey all,
Anyone know how to duplicate the fadein and fadeout function on an animation tween in 5? Thanks

"in 5"
What's 5? Or do you mean in 5 frames....?

Hey,
I mean in Flash 5 instead of Flash 4...
In flash4, I can change an motion tween instance by a single digit variable and notice it fadein or fadeout.
In flash5, I do the same thing in the frame tab:motion:easing window and I can't tell? help ;)

Ummm....do you mean you are looking for an effect OTHER than changing the ALPHA level of an object from 100 to 0? I think that is the easiest way.
On the end keyframe of a motion tween of an object, just adjust the ALPHA level of the tweened object to 0 (using Effects pallette. Presto! You have your fade.
If this was not what you were looking for....ooops!

To make a fade in/out effect in Flash 5 you use the Alpha setting (from the instance inspector effects tab) and motion tweens, see this basic example:

Hell all,
Sorry for the confusion.. I meant to adjust an instance's motion tween "ease in" and "ease out" affect that was in flash 4.
How can I do that in flash 5?

Create your motion tween then check the Frames Tab of the Instance inspector. There is an 'easing' field into which you type a value for easing.
