What is the best format to bring images into Flash 8?

I have a 52KB jpg I want to bring into flash 8. The original image is from PHotoshop.

Is there a better format than jpg to use when bringing in images into flash? Can flash do the appropriate compression to a jpg or does it compress another format better?

You can allow Flash to compress it again, or you can disable its compression and just use your own from PS.
As far as what format is best...it all depends on what you want to do with it.
Like, if it is a static photo that came from a camera (not the net), I would probably use jpg for the compression.
If it was something that needed transparency, PNG is usually the way to go.
