TextArea height with htmlText

Hi All,
I have a TextArea where I am dynamically entering the htmlText with img tags etc.. the textHeight i get from the object does not seem take the img into consideration.. any idea how I can effectively calculate the height?

thanks.. that seem to be the problem.. but there is a new problem now.. how do I know if the image has been loaded.. I am unable to add an event listener for the content of htmlText...
