Hi all, first time posting here.
I've been looking around for a TV static effect that I could make in Flash 6 (MX). I'm trying to create a website header with text that randomly has static fade in then out again constantly.
If anyone could help me out or has any questions as to what I'm talking about dont hesitate to ask.

This sounds like a very easy challenge. You could create an MC that introduces static and other film distortions to your text. If you include no stops, your little swf would just loop over and over.
You might want to look at Flash Hack#3 in Sham Bhangal's Flash Hacks (O'Reilly). He talks about how to make an animation look like old film. If I understand you correctly, your challenge is the same but you want static instead of aging film.

Since I'm a complete flash newbie this has helped greatly.
Thanks for your time!
