I did a deletion of some excess files from the Library, replaced an AIFF file with an MP3 file, and did a COMPACT & SAVE save... Hmmm. The file size went up not down and
WORST OF ALL....The Timeline no longer functions... None of my Flash 8 or MX2004 files (ah, the file I was working on was originally done in MX2004) will PLAY!!! The cursor goes forward one frame and then stops....
What has been corrupted? I tried a new version of Flash 8, downloaded from Adobe but it has made no improvement. Then I did a Disk Permissions etc Verify and Repair. Still no improvement.
Has anyone got a clue what could be preventing the Timeline from working?
Very desperate indeed at this point.
