continuing play on mouse-off

I'm new to flash so this question is probably stupid and easy, when editing a button- in the "OVER" state i have a movie clip, i want this animation to continue when the mouse goes off the button, how do i do it?:confused:

you need to put the button in an mc instead of an mc in a button
