I've seen lots of effects that dazzle the hell out of me. But one that has consumed me to no end are the drop down menus at:

http://www.lookandfeel.com/index2.html

Making a drop down menu is easy enough. Giving it that fluid, elastic look is something else. I've never seen anything like it.

Anyone care to shed some light on this? How do they bounce and snap like that?

It's an elastic type effec.t There's a movie by FlashGuru in the movies section which uses elastic-type movement. Basically it's controlled with a mathematical actionscripted tween... not easy, but that site is not for beginners :) Still amazes me whenever I see it.

Hey Hollywood thanx for the reply,
Ive seen it buddy....The estudio ur talkin about ...Real cool......but I think its just motion tween...Ya know you create a big invisible button at the back, then when you roll over another button within a movie (the menu) appears, and when you roll out of the whole thing,....you roll over on the bigger invisible background button which makes the menu move back.......well tats what I think ....
ANY COMMENTS....HOLLYWOOD,STROK?

While I decided to feature eStudio on the site, I must admit I don't totally like those buttons (like the enter button) because as it maniachally moves around it becomes hard to clik for stupid people like myself :)

There is no doubt in my mind that the navs are made with a shap tweened (manually) box turninginto a shark-fin shape... shtill the effect is very impressive.
