I'm using a mask above a dynamic textbox. I include the font to get it to show up. The problem is that when I include the font, all the "holes" in certain letter get filled! For example D, looks like a half filled circle. Also A, B e.t.c fills up.

Can I do anything about this?

The problem also occurs when using static text. To get the text to show up when masking, I have to unhook "use device fonts". When unhooking, the text fills...

Thanks!

Um... I played it with several font faces and it didn't happen to me... Can you put your file on the web so that I can see what's happening???

I've had that problem, usually with bad "novelty" fonts from freebie font sites though, I just assume that that particular font is just badly designed and sucks (and I really shouldn't be touching novelty fonts with a barge pole anyway cos novelty fonts are BAD, like stinky bad, like rotten eggs) and choose another!
<end digression regarding bad novelty fonts that should be incinerated>
um, what font are you using?

:)

I've had that problem too and I'm pretty sure it's down to shoddy workmanship. Who made the font? If I were you I'd find out where this font-quack lives, go round there and sort the gezzer out with a couple of swifties to the chin. Failing that you could try using a shareware font-creator type proggie to see if you can fix the problem yourself?

Send Pinkaboo in, she'll sort em

I've had the same trouble with masking dynamic text. If you read up on this, it might help you.

Firstly you're not way off base, and secondly don't ever apologise for helping out. Understood?! Eh!

...and If I catch you doing it again I'll send 'The Boys' round to ruffle your hair and give you chinese-burns until you say sorry.
Fear my wrath - muhahah!

it's prolly not very pc to call 'em chinese burns now is it, but that's what they were called when I went to school. What the heck are they called now?
Well, I know that I don't mean any offence by that term anyway so stop yer moanin! I don't think kids do that now do they? I think they just shoot each other instead

thanks for the post kunafish - quality stuff! :D
