Hello,
i've got a dynamic textfield which uses a monospaced font, everythings right so far except if i embed the font and set its antialias prop. to 'readability' or 'custom' the font/characters in the textfield aren't monospaced anymore.
is this a known issue?
regards
Martin

As far as I know there is no known issue about this topic. I tested this on my machine with Courier, comparing the kerning between anti-alias settings Animation, Readability and Custom (with Thickness set to -200 and Sharpness set to 400) and the kerning was still equivalent.
If you are using an unusual typeface have you tried substituting a more standard typeface like Courier or Monaco? Flash is the pickiest application I have ever seen about typefaces.

thnx for the answer.
I use the Lucida Console font. The attached .fla file is trying to demonstrate the issue.
At least on my machine (running xp) the textfield beside 'AA readability embeded' isnt monospaced anymore.
edit: btw if you change the font in the example to courier new the effect remains the same...and actually i have to use lucida console
