Hello all,

I'm very close to launching this site so I'd like any feedback I can get. The URL is http://www.onemilwaukee.org. The site's menus and content are built from an XML file. I've got flash doing a big recursive function to read through it all and perform the neccessary attachments from the library to create the menu items and the content blocks.

The next step will (hopefully) be to set some kind of CMS up that will automatically update the XML file. That way the client (or I) won't have to edit the raw XML file.

Thanks,
Benjamin Gray

i like the ideea.
i think you have problems with programming. my processor is going crazy, and the site is doing almost nothing. so, make animations much faster, and check the code. are you using some enterFrame, or setInterval all the time? stop them.

nice work and a great idea. xml and cms is the way to go! i agree there is something processing when i'm just viewing the page -- no interaction. no mouse movment. my activity monitor has safari using 70% of the cpu. if you can figure out what's causing that it'll be smooth looking site. maybe the tweens on your movement are still running?

i thought it be pretty cool if i could click on the people and have them tell me something more about how to make Milwaukee into One Milwaukee, but it's late in the game for suggestions like that unless you have the video already and time available in the budget. Is there going to be a Spanish version?

very compelling opening -- nice work!
