Hey People

When you install flash on your machine it associates .swf files with the standalone player.

I'd like to give this facility to my client to that she can play videos without having to view it through a brower(it's not a web thing) because it takes a performance hit if you play it though IE. And also it would allow her to make it into a projector file on her side.

So anyone know where I could get the standalone player for her to install?

Thanks

I think you should be able to take one from here: http://www.adobe.com/cfusion/knowledgebase/index.cfm?id=tn_14266 .

Will this actually install the standalone player? it seems to just be older versions of the player for browsers...

Hmm.. good question, I forget exactly what's in those distribs. You might be right :(

How about this: http://www.softwarepatch.com/internet/shockwave.html ?
Got it by googling "flash player standalone" :)
