Hi
I'm really new to flash and have imported an .flv file into my flash document. Problem is when I export it as a .swf or projector the stage is white and only has sound.
I've got Flash MX 2004 but it's not Professional. Can anyone tell me if this is the problem or if it something else??
Thanks in advance

You imported an FLV into your flash movie? Why did you import the flv vs using the media component or NetStream object to play back the flv?

the Flv is part of a larger cd-rom all built within flash!

I have made many cd-rom projects using either the media component or Netstream Object. As to your problem, you'll need the professional version of flash to accomplish what your after. The standard Flash MX 2004 won't do you what you are trying to do.
Something else to check is this, did you make the flv or did some one else? If the flv was made using flash 8 for example, you can forget Flash MX 2004 ever reading it. Flash 8 uses a new video compression setup.

I've done the import as well for a several animations I created with 3D Studio Max. Is the media component or Netstream more effiecient?
