Yes I have done a search
Yes I have looked through-out the flash help files

No I still have not found a way to copy one entire scene ( frame actions and all objects on the stage and the ones dwelling in Library awaiting to be loaded ) into another scene.

All I want to do is take scene 1 and make it scene 2 so I can put in a preloader in scene 1.

Only do this.
Insert a new scene. Name it preloader....
Go to modify scene and invert the order of the scene. That's all

cool thanks. I did that but wasnt sure if it wa the correct precedure cause scene1 is still scene1 even tho it comes after scene2(preloader)

You can always rename them ...

It doesn't matter the name they have... The thing important is the order or them in the "modify scene" window.
Scene1, scene2 are the default name. But you can named it as you want (rename them).
