load movie question

Hi
i have question regarding the "load movie" script -

i have button action loading a swf using

("new_swf", _root.contents, GET) into a MC

i notice that when the new swf loads it will show the
background in the first frame and cause a (skip so to speak) and then load all the other symbols in the field - as timeline plays through

is that because it's (root, content loading-target loading first) and then the other items
hope this is clear -
