Ok Ive done alot of searching and it seems that we can't eject the cd-tray with actionscript....
BUT
actionscript can execute files, so Im wondering if there is a simple text file that I can make and convert to a .bat, so that the actionscript can run it and eject the cd-tray.

you are right there is no way to make the cd rom tray eject without an external script. If you are using flash as an application development tool then you should look into MDM zinc and other swf2exe programs that extend the features of flash. Otherwise your question doesn't really apply to these forums which are about actionscript. You simply need to discover a batch command. Another way to do it may be to build an external exe script to do it and use a batch script to run the exe.
Hope this helps and doesn't find you with a "well duh I knew that" look on your face.

Or, popup a dialog box prompting the lazy bugger to reach out and press the eject button themselves!! :o :o ;)
