Could somebody point me in the right direction? I am trying to get certification in the latest Flash technology. I see posts here and there about the Flash 8 developer exam but can't seem to find any guides or exam centers that offer it as a test.

My guess is because CS3 is out and getting flash 8 developer certified is futile. If this is the case, do you know when the CS3 developer certification will be available?

There are only 2 big companies with exams center.
VUE (http://www.vue.com)
Prometric (http://www.prometric.com/default.htm)

Guides..I am also wondering, becouse only thing I have found was 10 question on adobe site...

Either company will point you to abode's ACE site:

Others have come to the same conclusion as I have, there doesn't seem to be a Flash 8 developer specific exam, just the Flash 8 general exam. Also, it doesn't seem there is a specific guide out there for it. Just the old guides. See my post on adobe's as forum:

Ok you are right. There are't mutch materials.
If you are despered or want to chcek your knowlednege there is testking for 9A0-602 - Certified Macromedia Flash MX 2004 Developer Exam (propably lot of them are the same in flah 8 exam).

But I must say that after reviewing those 10 questions on adobe site my eyes opened and I knew what type of question should i prepare for and i knew what I have to learn/review...

Keep in mind that most questions on the exam are based on experience. If you haven't use Flash or ActionScript on a daily basis for a substantial period of time then the exam might be quit tough.

I took both the MX 2004 Developer and Designer exams about two years ago I just barely passed the Designer exam (need 75% and I scored 75%) and thats only because I don't use the Flash IDE on a daily basis but I only code ActionScript day in day out (for the developer exam I scored 87% where I needed 70% to pass).

$125

What do you guys think? Sounds pricey compared to the couple of books I can get.

I'd rather open up the Flash Help page and start there than buying such book... I've had FMX and F7 exams and the books don't help much... ;)
