Embed SWF in email?

Can this be done?
I tried this years ago with no success but was wondering if there were any new techniques I didn't know about.
Can an swf be placed in an email like any other graphic element?
If so can someone point me to how?
Any help would be appreciated.

You sure can place the SWF into the emailer... That's a simple HTML and there is no problem with that...
The problem is the email client program such as Outlook/Eudora that wipes out anything ActiveX by default for security reason, so unless the reader turned that back on, your SWF won't be visible...
