Hi,

Is anybody aware about any Flash tool (stand alone) which would show me the Flash performance in a specific plataform, like Linux on ARM, for example.

Something I could run and then it would show me the figures for the target plataform.

For example (these figures are not real, only to illustrate):

If I run it in a MAC, 2GHZ, 1GB it would show me: 156 points.
in a Windows XP 2.33GHZ, 4GB it would show me: 269 opints.
in a mini-itx, windows CE, 600MHz, 256MB it would show me: 35 points.

Some thing which would enable us to test Flash performance through different platforms.

Anyone?

Thanks

Thanks CyanBlue,

Maybe it would be good to have an open source proejct for that.

I don't think it would be hard to create. I would help (I have some ideas).

Thanks

Hi,

I found that good benchmark.

http://www.powerflasher.de/bench/powerbench.html

I got 1143 points (Windows XP + IE 6).

I am really interested in figures for Flash 9 on Linux.

Can anyone run that and post the points you get?

Thanks

Interesting!

I got 853 points running the same benchmark, same system, but on FireFox 1.5 instead.

The difference was about +30% for IE... :o

I would expect firefox being faster... I was wrong though!

Thanks

This just confirmed what I've observed on my machine. IE6 does flash the fastest and Opera does it the slowest with FF2.0.0.4 only a little better than Opera 9.
