(http://www.15letters.com), an interactive design firm which develops online advertising, promotions, games, applications and websites, is looking for an exceptional and experienced Senior Flash Developer. The ideal candidate must have a strong ability to program with ActionScript, expertise with animation techniques, strong attention to detail, a love of games, and a desire to work as a part of a collaborative, multi-disciplinary team. Any design, 3D, web development and database integration experience is a definite plus.

Responsibilities:

• Produces amazingly creative & usable rich-media content that effectively marries beautiful design, exceptional experience & technical precision
• Is an active contributor, collaborator, communicator & team player in leading projects to high quality, ground-breaking and on-time deliverables
• Seamlessly translates direction & assets from team members with meticulous detail
• Plans, architects and generates clean, documented, reusable and scalable code
• Maintains the highest coding standards and best practices by keeping up with latest Flash Platform enhancements and techniques
• Develops and improves upon 15 letters’ code library, development framework, components and tools sets
• Exhibits strong problem solving and ingenuity with complex projects


Skills:

• Expertise with Flash (6, 7, 8) and ActionScript (1, 2)
• Thorough knowledge of built-in Flash tools, APIs and components
• Expertise with various Flash based animation and sequencing techniques
• Versatile with applying various game development techniques to Flash games
• Knowledge of Flash Player limitations, performance tuning and file size optimization
• Proficient with Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator and After FX
• Strong integration skills with cross-domain, external data sources, persistent data and web services
• Experience with HTML/JS/CSS development
• Familiarity with the software engineering methodologies of Object Oriented Programming, Agile Development, System Design, MVC, Test Driven Development, Collective Code Ownership and Design Patterns


Qualifications:

• Five or more years experience with multimedia technologies in an interactive agency or game development environment
• BS/MS in Computer Science, New Media or equivalent
• Strong programming and/or design background is a plus
• Portfolio of interactive work
