I looked at the Scrolling text (dynamic/static/loaded and Html) tutorial but I can't get it to work at all. I basically need scrolling text on rollover of a button. I need it to do it both ways up and down.
i have 4 buttons on my main stage (frame one) that navigate you to the corresponding frame which I want to hold the scrolling text.
what is the best way to do this...
Fast and easy...

Here is a good way to do it, but then again: personally I went through more than 20 of those tutes until I found the one I liked. I adapted it to my needs and converted it into a template for my own further use...

Hope it helps... :)

well I got it to work somewhat.. I'd rather not use the HTML code for the text since it is a ton of text. And it's just being copied and pasted... it might behove me to try and learn the whole loadtxt file and have that in the scroll area? is it possible?

I went to your second step and extracted what I needed from it.. Works great... Wish it was a bit smoother but such is life. i didn't want to complicate things with doing the whole scroll bar and all... but thanks again..

How come when i use the load textfile for my srolling text it is automatically BOLD. I just want ti to be regular? The textbox is set to regular, and the txt file is at regular as well?
