Responsibilities
The ideal candidate will be responsible for:
Design and develop technical solutions Build FLASH based interactive simulations for use in assessment contexts, focusing on development of reusable components Build web based assessment and survey applications Satisfy internal and external business partners Provide guidance and supervision necessary to lead development teams and lower level technical staff Prepare all relevant documentation for design, development, and testing by external groups.
Guiding and supporting pilot projects
Coordinate the writing, maintenance and distribution of documentation for new and current software Creation of detailed integration test plans Meeting project schedules and deadlines Apply new technologies and practices in the design of software systems Interact with other functional areas in the design and deployment of software systems
Experience: The ideal candidate must have at least 6 years of experience in computer programming or in a related area. At least 3 years of extensive FLASH Actionscript experience is required. The person must demonstrate strong knowledge and experience with the responsibilities outlined above. Experience working with academic researchers (i.e., soft sciences) and designers (e.g., user experience and user interface designers) toward defining new products and specifying their requirements, would be a plus.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities include:
Strong programming background in FLASH Actionscript building reusable components for FLASH based interactive projects.
Strong programming background in client-side web applications, including dynamic HTML technologies (HTML, Javascript, CSS).
Good oral and written communication skills with strong attention to detail.
Good interpersonal skills in order to interact with clients, technical staff, and third parties.
ASP, ASP.NET, C#, XML, Java and SQL knowledge would be a plus.
Education
The candidate should have a Bachelor's degree, with coursework in the information processing or business-related curricula, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
