Hi guys,

It seems that I am forever posting bug reports here! :) (Not to slam your software or anything as it is really good otherwise.)

Anyway, I have found a problem with invisible buttons.

In Flash a large percentage of developers use the invisible button method - whereby you create a button with nothing in the down / up / over states....only in the hitarea state do you create your shape.

This way you still have a button with an area you have defined but it is invisible. The same effect can be achieved by just making your button 0% alpha.

When you view these buttons in IceProjector they do not work. That is to say, the player does not recognise them as buttons when you move over them..basically they are no longer there.

This should not happen. If you view the same file in the standalone flash player or in a web browser the button is invisible but it still works...

Please can you fix this bug asap as I kinda need to use it for my competition entry!

Cheers.

Hi Tankshell

Though the invisible button you mentioned is the behavior of Flash projector, we decide not to support the feature in the current version..
The reason is :
When export to windowless Flash projector by iceProjector, an invisible button with transparent background will confuse user when user wants to interact with the window desktop rather than the invisible button.

We will consider to support it in the future version.

Again, thanks a lot for your feedback.
I wish to receive your submition soon.
Best regards

OK.

Thanks for the reply. I understand why you are not going to support this feature. As a work around I have found that by making 1% alpha the button is still invisible (almost!) and still works....so I will use this method untill support is included.

Unfortunately I have not had time to finish my entry for this months competition due to work and other things, but I will enter into next months competition.

Cheers,
Tankshell
