Hi,

I have a website that shows live TV feeds (such as MTV uber, Weather Plus, BBC News, etc). This is all handled by windows media player implanted onto a web page. However, I am looking to have a flash player developed that will handle the same thing. I googled for it and couldn't find anything that would do the job. Does anyone know if this is possible? To have a flash player handle live mms:// or .asx (etc) feeds not provided by the same server the flash player is on?

Thank You,
Donny

Howdy and Welcome... :)

I don't think you will find the Flash alternative for that... Flash does not understand MMS protocol nor the ASX playlist file... Flash only plays FLV and SWF movies...

Thank you :).

Ah I see. Do you know of any alternative options I can use other than windows media player?

None I am aware... Why do you look for an alternative???

I'm just trying to be unique with my site, all while preventing others from getting our feed URLS by simply viewing our HTML source code.

Thank you,
Donny

You still can get the source URL even if you are using Flash... I believe the only option you have is using the DRM...
