Pesky Masking Problems

:eek: Another one 4 u guys on here....:confused:

I've got an animated mask that uncovers an image, which exists as a movieclip and resides on the main stage. The animation should run when the clip is opened.

All other animation inside the clip except for the mask works fine. I've tried nesting the mask as a clip within the clip and tried to animate it along the first clips timeline.

However the mask tween will not work, no matter where i place the mask, even if i just place the clip to run on the main stage it doesn't run....

I'm now using MX if that makes any difference...

Please help before i drop dead at my computer....

Thanks man,

I used your example to create an effect on it's own in a separate file, this worked fine..

But as soon followed the same steps and created the effect in my movie, it stopped working!

I've tried it on the main timeline, inside the clip i want it to run from, i've made sure that the clips are all loaded, what am i doing wrong?:confused:
