Is anyone familiar with Hot Potatoes? It's a PC software for making educational games that spits out stuff like this: http://www.portlandsc.vic.edu.au/Students/LOTE/quizsite/petitesbetes/betes_pic_matchup.htm

A pretty messy and fairly ugly (even with better colors) javascript-jungle. Still, it's the only system that people with Office-level computer skills can make interactive games with. As far as we know - and there's my question -> is there a similar software available somewhere (doesn't matter if it is a commercial product), that makes flash games? We tested one software called Atlantic Link but that was fairly complex and the games worked only on IE.

Or do we need to start creating our own?

I have never heard of Hot Potatoes or Atlantic Link, but why would you want to have people with office-level computer-skills have developing games anyway? It limits the possibilities extremely..

The idea in Hot Potatoes is that it has maybe 10 or so different game types, and a teacher, who knows what the kids should learn but doesn't know any coding, can select a game type and just fill in as many questions / answer options as they like, and the software creates the actual files.

These are supposed to be ve-ry simp-le games and the pre-chosen game types are sufficient for this project.

Hm, well I kind of get your point, but I'm afraid I can't help you..
