Hello all i am new to flash 8 and i am finding it all very confusing.
Ok i have built a basic homepage with just a background, A title for the page and 8 buttons down the side of my page. All i want to do now is to be able to press any of the buttons which will then display a new window on the same page displaying more text.
Can anyone point me in the right direction i would be very grateful
Seth:rolleyes:

This could be done in several different ways...
You could attach some movie clip from the Library, holding text, pictures or whatever else...
Or simply load some text in a textfield, nested in a movie clip, that you can fade in or out, on a press of a button...

Thanks for your reply,
This sounds exactly what i am trying to do. My problem is i am a newbie to all this and i dont really understand actionscript commands can you explain how to load text in a text field nested in a movie clip.

Zip format would work...
Worst case, use a .rar, but change the extension to .zip before uploading it.
But it has to be lower than 500KBs.
