I have the Flash Media Server 2 (Developer Licensed) installed on my server (Win 2k3). On this server we have 512k upstream. Now for the problem, or more of a question.

I have a flv file encoded with a datarate at 150 with a size of 320 x 240. It is approx 3100 seconds long. Audio datarate of 64.

If I stream this file through the media server, it buffers about every 2 seconds for a split second causing it to "hiccup". It's like it can't stream it fast enough. With this same EXACT file viewed on a webpage (from same webserver) by progressive download, it plays fine.

I figured the streaming server would be a better way to go, but obviously I'm missing some concept here. Any ideas.

Wow, not everyone at once.

Look at it this way: How many questions have you taken the time to answer while you've been here?

None if all I can get is snide remarks like the one you gave.

No, the answer is just none.

I'm just getting into this stuff as well. Check out the ActionScript 3.0 Cookbook recipe 16.7 (chapter 16, example 7) if you are using 3.0 for a possible solution.
