creating a life bar for a game

hello
i,m trying to create a fighting game where i use the hitest action a lot anyways while working on it i've decided to create the life bar by using the code for a bar peloader and it doen't work at all
do any one know how I can make the bar go down by 5% every time a character hits another:confused:

draw your bar mc and make sure its registration point is set to center left
