extending the tilelist

hi i was wondering if it was possible to extend the tilelist to have a vertically scrolling list with scaling without the scrollbars but have something like pictured below with 2 arrows:

Of course, you can tell it to do whatever you want. Just read the TileList.as source file included with your flex builder to get an idea on how to create a custom List component.
