Flash games

Howdy!
this is not my questions but 1 anyway.
in the forum tehre is a general questions n MX questions n stuff..
can any1 make a GAMES 1 ? coz there is a lot of questions coming through about games and stuff refering to games so does any1 think it is a good idea to make a games forum ?

anyway to my real question.

i want to make a simple runalong game, (platform game) with run jump blah blahh blahh.. so yes.. i can move the characters with the left n right key but how do i make the character jump when i press the SPACE key ? i can make him go up but how do i make him have like a gravity affect, goes up and comes back down ?
please explain to me how to do this ..

Hey jesse, it wil be great if a GAME section in the forum exist. Flash is a good program too, to make some games (look ie the one with the bugs, in your home page...)

There is some gravity-tutorials around here, if I am not wrong... :)

About the pressing of <space> to make "things happen", that's just another bit of code in your main movie... :)
