expert advise about adding text

I am currently working for an employer that wants their vast collection of powerpoint slides added into flash but i realise you are a little limitited when using flash as a text tool. So can anyone tell me what the best way to copy and paste text into flash, in particular text with bulletpoints that will give me the most control over the layout.

This is really stumping me as i need to be able to do it as quick as possible and also leave my clients with a tutorial on updating certain frames.

Have you tried to copy/paste?? I've had good luck doing that in the past.

Also, if you're on a Mac, Keynote is an excellent program...it lets you save your powerpoint files to swf files.

I'd use XML - that's clean, flexible, and will let your clients edit the text down the road. You can render the bullets anyway you want, and all the clients need is a text editor.
