Scrolling banner problem

I am very new to actionscript, and have a question that I hope is easy for some of you to answer.

I have a website that has 3 buttons that when pressed bring a banner in from the side. The problem I am having is how to make the banner that is on the stage dissapear out the other side when a different button is pressed. Is there a command that will tell whichever slide is on stage to park?

How did you get it on stage in the first place? A tween?

Yes that is correct. I did use a motion tween.
