help buildng an interactive multimedia player

Hi there! :D

I am currently studying a multimedia course at college and i need a little help with a Flash project i'm undertaking. In response to creating a fully functioning html/css website, i need to incorporate a Flash multimedia player which permits the playback sound, video and also displays images.

The player will also consist of some sort of interface which will include the relevant buttons needed to cycle through medium type/format and to control the playback of the file being played.

I will, of course, gratefully appreciate any help towards this issue as in this case, being a fairly novice Flash user, all forms of assistance will be of great value!

perhaps you can tell us what direction you want to take, or what you've tackled so far?
We can't really offer much help unless we know where you're at ;-)

Also, check out the lynda.com movie tutorials. There are some very easy to follow videos on creating sound, video and image galleries.
