Hi, I'm definately new. I've been using Flash since Flash 5 but not very much. I am currently on CS3 and have fun into this problem. I have a flash slide presentation and on a Windows computer, the text shows either superscript L's or boxes in the text. I've tried everything I know how to do including embedding the font and using _sans, _serif... I'm stuck. Any adivce would certainly be helpful!

Thank you!

Device fonts can't be embedded...

I first tried to embed a Garamond font and that did not work, after I did some research, I decided to try using the device fonts (not embedded). That did not change anything either. Now I am looking in a book trying to figure out how to dynamically load the text from a file. Definately not easy when I don't have a clue.

Thanks for your help!

Alright, I have figured out how to dynamically load the text into my flash file. Now my problem is that wherever there is a double or single quote, it defaults to a crazy character. I've tried to use the html code for the symbol but it then causes bigger issues. I do have the "render as HTML" button clicked.

Thanks in advance.
