Frequency Variable? its a toughie.

Hey everyone, I'm planning on making a game that requires a player to make a certain frequency noise through their microphone, like a 'simon says' for noises.

I've been searching the internet for ages now, and I can't find a single thing.

Is there any way of getting the Khz frequency of a sound using javascript?

Search for 'Fast Fourier Transform', that's the general concept (tough one though) that you have to understand. Flash has one built into the spectrum analyzer, and I'm sure there's a few lying around for javascript or similar somewhere...

What do you mean by flash havng one built into the spectrum analyzer? Does flash have an inbuilt one or is there source code on the internet?

Flash CS3 ships with a spectrum analyzer.
