Is it possible to script..so you could do somthing similar to ctrl+s , and it would save to flash8 (and not cs3)

I'm assuming that the reason you would want to do something like that is to use actionscript 2.0 instead of 3.0 if that is the case you do not need to save it as a Flash 8 file. Instead save your flash file as a CS3 and change your publish settings to use actionscript 2.0 instead of 3.0.

No, i'm talking about that i'm working in a environment where a great deal of people are still working in MM Flash8..(and why shouldt they)..
And i want/have to keep my files compatible at all times, without even having to think about it.
Ps. When you choose to save your flash as Flash8, next time you press+s Flash will save it as CS3, that is a BITCH!!!!

im using cs3 and when you change the settings for the first time on your document it always saves they way to changed it. at least for me it does...

I hate to say this but I don't think it is possible. I don't do hardly any C-coding but I doubt it is easy to write a DLL for it even if it is do-able via a custom DLL command. It is a bugger of a nuisance tho, and I think it is a great idea. If anyone out there knows how to write C or C++ I'd love to find out what might be possible to create that DLL.
