trace() does not work, but neither does air.trace() ??

title is pretty self explanatory, neither of these work. if i open a clean new Adobe Air project in flash cs3 and type trace('hello'); then nothing happens whatsoever..

but if i type in air.trace('hello'); then i get an error saying Accessing an undefined property..

how the hell do i trace out??

ok, apparently it works if i click Debug Movie, but not if i do Test Movie.

i don't want to have to "debug movie" every single time i want to test out my app... is there any reason why it wont work in Test Movie??

because you are no longer in the flash environment. When you test movie, you are actually launching the app if I am not mistaken.
