scene transition - expanding hole..

Hi guys,
assigment due in tomorrow, ive build a little flash presentation in the style of a cinema. I want the first scene (the welcome scene as such) to be a little stickman in corner of screen pointing at a doorway (black background with a little white rectangle for hte doorway.) On the click of the doorway i want it to expand and swallow up the whole screen and hten shrink to the next scene, or ideally, expand and as it reduces again, reveal the scene behind.

Any advice? i dont know where to start..

you could do it by making the door into a movieclip on the topmost layer... then tween it to cover the entire stage... change the background... tween out... done ;)
