hi everybody,
i have problem. though not too big but it irritates a lot when i work. donno it has any solution or not so tat wat i wanted to know. so my question is when we make a movie on flash on different frames like 1--5--10--15--20...and so on......and if anycase i have to move the movie in a different position i have to move them seperately. even if u select all the frames and move it ..... it seems tat all of them are moving but actully when u go to frame 10 after moving your movie in another position u'll see not only 10 but all the frames images are still there where they were before changing the position except one which u selected at first.and positioning them all over again is hell of a job coz some where u will make a mistake and the movie also spoils.
so can some body suggest me the solution. maybe it'svery simple but donno..
thanks in advance.

Do a search in the Manual or Online help for "Moving an entire Animation" or "Editing Multiple frames" and you will get something like:
"Moving an entire animation
If you need to move an entire animation on the Stage, you must move the graphics in all frames and layers at once to avoid realigning everything.
*
To move the entire animation to another location on the Stage:
1. Unlock all layers.
To move everything on one or more layers but nothing on other layers, lock or hide all the layers you don't want to move.
2. Click the Edit Multiple Frames button in the Timeline.
3. Drag the onion skin markers so that they enclose all the frames you want to select, or click Modify Onion Markers and choose Onion All.
4. Choose Edit > Select All.
5. Drag the entire animation to the new location on the Stage."

Thanks Mr. Rupert for the the answer.... but the tricks u told me i have already done and nothing is working. if i do "select all" or "edit multiple frames" in the timeline it does move the whole movie it just moves one frame's graphic....:-(
what i was thinking to make movieclip of the movie which i want raw on the stage.
i cannot see anyother option
If you want to know how you can drag multiple frames from one postion on the timeline to another then this is how i do it.
1.Select/Highlight the frames I want to move.
Now this can be achieved by either by:
-dragging the mouse over the frames I want to move.
To do this you will have to start the mouse at the end of the line of frames or start on a blank frame to avoid selecting and dragging just the first frame in your selection.
-Another way to select multiple frames is to hold down the 'ctrl' button while simply selecting the frames you want to move. This method is slightly better and also allows you to select frames which are in the middle of other frames or frames which are involved in a motion or shape tween!
2. Place your mouse over the selected/highlighted frames and drag the frames to wherever you want them to go. You can also 'copy & paste' the selected frames.
Hope this is what you were looking for and above all, helpful.
:)
Thats a good tip from Mr.Rupert though... but boy wouldnt you save a lot of time converting all main stage animations into a movieClip.

Yeah there seems to be a "feature" in Flash where the select all in this instance doesn't really "select all". Flx is right you need to drag select with the mouse to get it to work correctly.

clicking on edin multiple frames in the timeline beside onion skining and selecting the keyframes while pressing the control key also work fine and fullfill ur needs.
