Effect Help/advice

Hey I wanna learn how to make a similiar effect as this site got when u change part of the site with the buttons, that big red thingy that moves. http://templates.entheosweb.com/template_number/8513.asp
I haven't used actionscript before, just know some java from school and how to make simple animations in flash.
So I want some advice on tuturials to check out so I can learn that thing ;)

well that effect in the red area appears like its all timeline ... there is probably very little actionscript involved to do that .. i mean you could do it with actionscript .. but it would probably be much easier to do it with the timline since there is a bunch of elements that need to change / appear / disappear..
