Did anybody else kinda notice the site was missing for a few hours there?

Thanks to everyone who emailed us. Unfortunately Strok was out and I was alseep on the other side of the world. When I detected the issue it required a hard reboot, again, on the other side of the world. It's all good now though :)

I was having withdrawal symptoms! Hey but I did find something kinda wierd. When I couldn't see the site yesterday I did a trace Route through Interachy to see if it was actually AS.org that was down or whether someone had tripped over the plug somewhere in between.
It was stopping at this IP address: http://24.76.88.234/ and when you resize the window to the correct widths you get a strange ascii picture (of a spaceship or something I think?!).

Crazy. The whole time our DNS et al were fine, the server had just locked up I think.

I didn't realise this pic was part of that - I used to have a bookmark to a site that showed all the different places this stuff had turned up. Amazingly widespread.
