MSNBC Web page

I stumbled upon a page with an embedded Flash object at http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/21116732

I've never seen anything quite like it. I was hoping that this was developed using a component that's available for purchase, or maybe something built in house for MSNBC.

Can you guys check it out and let me know if it's something that can be purchased?

don't get me wrong, I'm brand new to this whole AS3 thing, but from what I see there, nothing seems entirely out of reach. Seems like everything is doable with proper planning and implementation.
