streming via media server

hello,

i am developing a flv player using Flash media server.Actually i have developed a "progressive download " method player (http://logicmania-lab.blogspot.com/2007/12/blog-post.html). Now i want to convert it to flash media streaming.Can any one help me in developing this.
I want to know where the flv is to placed in media server?.And I want to stream the file any where. Is it really need a ASC file in the media server?.
I have searched a lot in this and i can't find any thing with this regard....

Actually i tried the xmoov php based flash streaming andit's working.:)
But ur own list is very usefull and am on it.
In the mean time i found another video tutorials here.
