Ive been using Flash lightly for a few years (im still using v4) ive recently seen a great anuimation, and very simple of the smart.com website.

Its obvious how the animation works, there are a series of shots of the car in different stages of rotations, making uop 360 degrees, and i guess these are lined up in order on a single layer on the time line.
My question is whats the commands/how do you setup a simmilar animation so that the mouse pointer when moved to the right say plays the framesone at a time in one dircetion, and move to the left and play in reverse.

i would have thought this is easy if you know how, setting the loop bit is easy, its just the whole mouse interactivity i have no idea about....
thanks!!

Whenever you are looking for a specific effect and you don't know where to start, check Movies section on FlashKit. They have an enormous database, and chances are good you'll find something to help you clear the ideas:

http://www.flashkit.com/search.php?cat=movies&field=Description&per=10&page=1&term=360&x=28&y=10

Hope this helps...

Is a basic script like that even possible using Flash 4? I've never used it myself, but I know the scripting capabilities are primitive ...
