Hi,

I know that this subject has probably been discussed a gazillion times but I have not been able to find a clear solution.

Is there really any way to "NOT" have the user need to double click a Flash movie in IE? I am using a Flash header which I have an invisible button that takes the user back to the home page. However, in IE you have to click twice. I know that this has something to do with Microsoft.

Any guidance is greatly appreciated!!!! Thanks everyone!! :)

Yes, look at the swfobject. http://blog.deconcept.com/swfobject/ Should solve that issue.

Hi,

I found a solution that works great when inserting Flash into a HTML page. However, is there a solution to avoid the double click issue when using a Flash banner that may go on a variety of marketing websites where you have no control over putting a javascript file on their web host server or on their web page? In other words is there any ActionScript I can use to avoid the double click issue in IE??

Thanks!!

Don't think so, but the issue should be resolved by next month...

The embedding workarounds (.js scripts) will apparently no longer be needed..
