Power tools.....50 m network cable.....telephone extension cable....hub........more cable...network card.

What do we get ? - A network, thats right, i have been drilling holes in walls and arsing around with screwdrivers and now i have fully functioning network (well 3 people), ah it feels so nice, actionscript.org in my room, and my mates room and my brothers room, o.k - we got quite a bit of cable all around the house, but its worth it !

I am lazy and happy, great ! O.k its not much hard work, but it means sharing files and disconnecting people when your f*cked off with them !

Next week i got an up-hill struggle, cos i am moving in with 4 mates and they're not that keen on the internet, let alone network, i got to make some enemies and go ahead with some major arguments....

anyone else have big trouble with house mates and trying to win them over with technical talk and how good it would be to get broadband ? - Cos i am really struggling.

So-called "Unnecessary bills" and more confusion, why don' they understand, any ammmunition to hep me would be greatly appreciated (even though i am going to go ahead with it no matter what they say).

The solution is, of course, Warcraft III. One game and they'll be hooked. They'll want you to install a network in every room of the house. Failing that, show them how cool it will be for them to be able to play your music, from your computer, in their room.
As for broadband... Make them sit in front of any half decent site on a 56k (and throttle it to 1kBps to enhance the encouragment) :)

I know some guys here does that with NEED4SPEED, but with play station and TV, they do that for hours and hours. I don't like the cars games but I know that lotta ppl do love them.

I prefer playstation when younger, but now have less time to play games even playstion2. :(
