Lats months issue of Flashtacular had three killer tutorials.
1. Pop Goes the World - custom tailored pop-up's sized to fit like your briefs.
2. Boob Haven - Flash 9s new boob class. Making boobs dance freely on stage.
3. Up-Up and Away - House hold items and ingredients that'll keep you up longer than truck fulls of crack cocaine

Never heard of "Flashtacular" is that a magazine, forum, online site ?
Care to share the setup of for the PopUps from the tutorial and how it works in Flash / JS ?

What popup, atomic???
My only comment is that the texts are somewhat hard to read because you have white background and the light gray text...
I had JavaScript disbled, and it was really hard for me to know where my focus should be... Those two buttons looked almost like a tag line to me, so I did not think of clicking on those...

Very nice clean layout, great job!
I would recommend 1 function. When you open a photo in a category it is kind of cumbersome to have to close the photo to see the next one. I would suggest left and right arrows to nav through the photos.
Here is a photo site I did a couple of years ago: http://www.chucksavage.com/

Nice also...
I would recommend updating it to get rid of the flash frame of the preloading arrow, when the pictures are cached... ;)

Ok, so honestly, why the fullscreen popup? This always kill me, especially when the site isn't large enough or its content doesn't warrant scaling. Outside of that, it's a pretty nice site. :)
