Someone once told me that the Flex SDK contains a tool to extract Javadoc comments from your Actionscript and create auto-generated documentation for your code. I was looking here:
http://opensource.adobe.com/wiki/display/flexsdk/Downloads
I'm not sure which SDK to download. Any tips/hints from folks in the know?

AS2Doc is what generates documentation for your code. It is very similar to JavaDocs in the java world.
You will need to format your comments properly for the as2doc to pick them up.
I think it comes flexbuilder. Its price has come down some now and the FlexBuilder 3 is pretty cool.
Hope this helps.

thanks.
It appears to be included in those first two flex downloads that were on my link. I'm wondering which of those I should download. I have no idea what the real differences are between them.

From your link, I would recommend you get the Flex 3 SDK. The Flex 4 is still under development and is not ready to go yet.
Thanks,

It's simply called asdoc. It has been part of every Flex SDK since 2.0.1, I believe.
